Written between moving from Maldon to London, back and forth over the course of three years. Remoulded, rewritten - finally assembled into a small package. Songs from the country taken into city life.

Wet Dream Records are pleased to bring you ‘Country Songs’, the debut EP from South London dream pop quartet Moon Balloon.

Formed in 2017, and fronted by Rhys Timson (of Blueprint Blue) the band site influence as wide ranging as Ultimate Painting & Cate Le Bon to The Band & Harry Nilsson, The bands unique pop sounds were created by Rhys who after solo efforts moved Moon Balloon to East London. He met Dan Weller and together robbed the best musicians from Chelmsford's rival band's in order to play exciting shows supporting friends at Old Blue Last, Lock Tavern and at Lion Cofee + Records - to name a few.

Produced and recorded to tape at Vacant TV Studios by Euan Hinshelwood of Younghusband, 'Country Songs' follows on from the bands debut single ‘Times Have Changed’ which was released on WDR earlier this year.
